Job Summary:
Business Development position responsible for serving as a Director of Business Development or
Clinical Liaison in markets with vacancies. This is a 100% travel position.
When serving as a Director of Business Development, responsible for implementation support,
analysis, execution and training of the hospital’s sales and marketing initiatives. The Director of
Business Development will implement core standardized marketing and training practices and
procedures to achieve the hospital’s vision, mission and goals. The RBDL will provide support to
enable the hospital to meet admissions and census goals, provide marketing leadership and support
to their assigned facility to meet business objectives.
When serving as a Clinical Liaison, responsible for completing patient assessments to identify
appropriate patients for potential admission into Scion facilities. Responsible for managing the
referrals and admissions that are generated through their assigned hospitals and territories. Designs
and manages the marketing strategies for their assigned accounts. Identifies and contacts new and
potential referral sources to grow their respective territory. Conducts in-person educational meetings
and conversations with referral sources, utilizing educational materials to present our specialty
hospitals to referral sources. Acts as liaison by coordinating transmission of clinical and benefit
information between patients, decision-makers, referral sources and the ScionHealth Specialty
Hospitals they serve. Performs 80% or more of work outside the home, with expectation of being
onsite at their respective accounts daily.
Essential Functions
DBD Assignment
Provides training expertise and functions as a resource to hospitals in developing marketing
Trains Clinical Liaison and other marketing professionals for effective referral development.
Assesses performance of Clinical Liaisons and other marketing positions in implementing
marketing plans and takes or recommends corrective actions, as necessary.
Assures hospital has processes in place as required by the corporate compliance agreement.
Completes special project requests as directed by the Senior Vice President, Regional and
Divisional Marketing Directors and CEOs within their hospitals.
Performs marketplace and hospital assessments to identify potential opportunities and clear
understanding of branding equity.
Measures effectiveness of marketing and sales activities, including financial viability of
contracts and goal projections.
Manages the sales and marketing efforts in hospital.
Leads the implementation of sales training and tracking.
Clinical Liaison Assignment
Uses prospecting methods to generate leads including initiating personal/business contacts,
sourcing expansion opportunities through existing and new accounts and educational
presentations.
Meets the monthly goals for their assigned hospitals
Expands the number of referral sources in their assigned territories.
Maintains current referral sources through relationship development.
Manages the admissions process as an ambassador for patients who meet the criteria
eligibility.
Conduct assessments in accordance with company standards.
Work closely with patients and their family members to educate them on the benefits of
ScionHealth Hospitals.

Qualifications:
Education:
Associates degree in related field, bachelor’s degree preferred.
Licenses/Certification:
Valid driver’s license is required.
Clinical licensure (RN, LPN/LVN, RT) preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in healthcare/post-acute marketing and sales.
Management experience over a sales team preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers as related to
LTACH Benefits.
Demonstrated competence in strategic business planning and design of marketing
initiatives
