Chaplain Student

A Chaplain Intern, provides soul care via spiritual guidance, counsel, and leadership for the patients, families, and staff of St. Francis Hospital and its affiliates as specified.

Provides skillful reflective listening, empathic emotional support, and facilitation of religious or cultural ritual when requested by patient or family as appropriate to the context of illness and crisis.

Utilizes effective spiritual assessment and sound, respectful intervening principles to offer spiritual, existential and emotional support while inworking with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Demonstrates knowledge and skill in providing spiritual care and counseling to patients, families, and staff members at SFH, The Bradley Center of St. Francis, and other clinical placements as assigned.

Qualifications
X High School Diploma/GED required
