Position Summary
Under general supervision, the surgical technologist functions as a member of the sterile team, creating and maintaining a sterile field, supplying the surgeon with needed instruments and supplies in accordance with established policies and procedures of Southwestern Medical Center. Assists in transportation and nursing care of surgical patients of all ages, as well as assisting with and assuming general departmental duties and responsibilities.
QualificationsLicensure/Certification Requirements:
·BLS
·Certified Surgical Technician License required
Education/Experience:
·High school graduate or equivalent
·Graduate of a school of surgical technology required
·Maintains education and development appropriate for position
·1 year of Surgical Technician experience required
